Parkland, Florida — <\/span>\u200ba \u200bgreat and<\/span> safe community\u200b.<\/p>\n There, a shooter, who is now in custody, opened fire on defenseless students and teachers. He <\/span>\u200bmurdered \u200b17 people\u200b <\/span>and badly wounded \u200bat least 14 others. No child, no teacher, \u200bshould ever be in danger in an American school.<\/span> \u200bNo parent should ever have to fear \u200bfor<\/span> their<\/p>\n \u200bsons and daughters when they kiss them<\/span>\u200b goodbye in the morning. \u200balone, confused or even scared: I want you to know that <\/span>you are \u200bnever <\/span>\u200balone and you never will be. You have people who care about you, who love you, and who will do anything at all to protect you. <\/span>\u200bIf you need help, turn to a \u200bteacher, a family member, a local police officer, or a faith<\/span> leaderr\u200b.\u200b \u200bAnswer hate with love; answer cruelty with kindness. Our administration is \u200bworking closely with local authorities to investigate the shooting and learn everything we can.
