Insomnia and the Blank Morning
(A Formal Syllabic Verse)
Ears vibrate at the waves of birds chirping
The lavender tint of dawn through glass
A reminder of the incessant earth
Prompting fear; left a depleted mind mass
Productive; as factual as a mermaid
A notion of dozing desiccated
Hence, a dry setting and heavy mental fade
Useless alertness to stay created
The pupils fail to experience peace
Burning desire for shut eye
Buzzing like a large beehive of queen bees
Thoughts continue to fly sky-high
Daydreaming in the black dark
For a moment of pure silence
Mind, failing to cease a bark
Veins bursting in heavy eyes; dense
This mental state far beyond reach
The room fills with several beams of sun
Sucked of life; victim to a leech
Solo breathing; lack of anyone
Excess conscious darkness
Not enough conscious light
Not enough unconscious darkness
Excess unconscious light
