Two loving parakeets sing joyfully
to each other in perfect harmony.
They are immersed in love,
far away from reality.
They are not understood by the outside world,
because they only see a young boy and girl,
not two loving parakeets.
The families try to keep them apart,
because they don’t understand the
lovers heart to heart.
Colored yellow and green,
all they want to do is sing.
Nothing will stand in their way,
for these parakeets will sing another day.
Years later the parakeets sing from the trees,
no longer two voices, but three.
A sharp chirp, a little cry. But it
doesn’t matter, for she can fly.
Fly like her mama, fly like her
papa, fly so high in the sky that
nothing can stop her.
