Hindsight is such a beautiful thing
how to do things over so differently again
if only we were given that wonderful chance
would we walk away quickly, or take that second glance?
It’s these questions everyone thinks they know
but if it were a true possibility, would you still go?
To the party, the dance, would you still choose them that night?
Like I said, that’s all in the beauty of hindsight.
What you know now, won’t live if you erase what happened then,
perhaps it’s wiser to take your scars, face your demons within
or else you may never become as strong as you do not think you are
if you simply chose to escape the pain and the hurt thus far
life would be far more complicated if we all were faced with that choice
gave into the curious traveling voice
says “hindsight is beautiful, but ignorance is bliss”
but what would’ve happened if we never kissed?
I wonder, I find comfort in dreaming that we all do
in a world where what you don’t know can’t hurt you
by no happenstance does your life shape way
amass to fate, the day to day.
Would you change it at all?
I cannot be sure I would.
Hindsight is mysterious for all it is good.
