thoughts, feelings and dreams<\/p>\n
captured in the form of the black letters and words<\/p>\n
doze off in slumberous mood<\/p>\n
A glass full of water<\/p>\n
kept on the table in case of need<\/p>\n
at dead of night<\/p>\n
My mosquito net above<\/p>\n
shelters me well from those blood-sucking creatures<\/p>\n
i listen their raucous struggle<\/p>\n
to get inside and get their hunger satisfied<\/p>\n
My little daughter sleeps so soundly<\/p>\n
beside her caring father<\/p>\n
her regular breathing:<\/p>\n
the rise and fall of her chest<\/p>\n
almost reminds me<\/p>\n
of a time when a solitary cowboy sitting on the paddy fields<\/p>\n
keenly watching the ebb-and-flow of the paddy-heads<\/p>\n
and counting grasshoppers one by one<\/p>\n
and then eagerly listening to the coo-coo of the shy spring bird<\/p>\n
streaming from a nearby bush<\/p>\n
My bed feels so soft and comfy<\/p>\n
Once the tired head reclines upon the pillow<\/p>\n
One is overcome by sleep and dream<\/p>\n
The room is semi-dark<\/p>\n
Street bulbs sending some of their benign light into my chamber<\/p>\n
Wide awake, I am surveying all around<\/p>\n
Night is always mysterious to me<\/p>\n
Just the rotation of time, of heavenly bodies<\/p>\n
Transforms my world of senses<\/p>\n
A drab picture is changed into a heaven<\/p>\n
Ah, heaven!<\/p>\n
with the blink of an eye<\/p>\n
the glass falls down splintering into pieces<\/p>\n
The mosquito net flies away somewhere<\/p>\n
exposing me to the greedy blood-suckers<\/p>\n
books on the shelves tumble down<\/p>\n
The ceiling fan gets loose of its nut and bolts<\/p>\n
and crushes upon us<\/p>\n
My daughter, my daughter!<\/p>\n
her little heart beats slow…slower till it stops<\/p>\n
Far, far from her in the paddy field<\/p>\n
the lonesome cowboy lied: low, lacerated<\/p>\n
