On cushioned knees we plead for forgiveness,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

until our minds wander away and we scold ourselves,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

only to ask for forgiveness once again.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Be mindful the Father says,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

pray well and He will bless;<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

pass around the basket and donate no less.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We slip in our envelopes and maybe a prayer,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

an offering as a favor.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Notice me, Heaven, and save me a place\u2014\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

this was never we, but me, confessing;<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I fear I\u2019ll never feel Your embrace.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If I do not do well.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
