\u00a0<\/span>October crept in my window<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

and through the knitting of my sweater.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I was too tired to notice the goosebumps.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Laying with my back to the intruder,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

still swinging with the fantasy of September.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

October ravaged through my closet,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

my coffee, and my left sock.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I pull the blankets over my head<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

ignoring my frozen feet<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

and hoping the monster will go away.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

October fled into the night<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

after leaving a chill in my room.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It has settled under my blankets now<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

and makes me dream of days<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019ll spend outside in June.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
