 <\/p>\n

Fall is one of the most beautiful<\/p>\n

seasons<\/p>\n

for all sorts of good reasons<\/p>\n

but<\/p>\n

when you really stop to think-<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

there is a morbid link<\/p>\n

between fall<\/p>\n

and death\u2019s imminent call.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The sickly cold of every breeze<\/p>\n

Is what I\u2019ve been told<\/p>\n

Is fall\u2019s final breath<\/p>\n

as it becomes victim to a<\/p>\n

cruel, concerning death.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Maybe that\u2019s why<\/p>\n

with this,<\/p>\n

the unhinged world<\/p>\n

is so hauntingly obsessed.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The trees pleading,<\/p>\n

bleeding,<\/p>\n

to desperately show<\/p>\n

they\u2019re never ready,<\/p>\n

not meant,<\/p>\n

to go,<\/p>\n

to move past,<\/p>\n

sunshine-filled moments<\/p>\n

that were never to last.<\/p>\n

Beauty stripped,<\/p>\n

Fearing they\u2019re ill-<\/p>\n

equipped<\/p>\n

for another wild, midwestern winter.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

But<\/p>\n

we make the most of what is left<\/p>\n

pretending<\/p>\n

there is no such thing as winter\u2019s theft.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Embracing every slight and powerful breeze<\/p>\n

Shifting our hearts and brains at ease,<\/p>\n

Watching the leaves delicately flow<\/p>\n

even when they\u2019re reluctant to go,<\/p>\n

green to gold to gone.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

To the ground, they messily pile.<\/p>\n

Providing us another reason to smile:<\/p>\n

the satisfying crunch,<\/p>\n

another unintentional punch,<\/p>\n

to our beloved season<\/p>\n

as the leaves<\/p>\n

barely hang on,<\/p>\n

but here\u2019s a conclusion<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve subsequently drawn:<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

A continual breeze undulating<\/p>\n

around<\/p>\n

the release of the final leaf,<\/p>\n

awaiting,<\/p>\n

feeling<\/p>\n

resistance decrease-<\/p>\n

the point in which<\/p>\n

we switch<\/p>\n

from feeling this fallen breath<\/p>\n

as a kiss of death.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It\u2019s ok to let go-<\/p>\n

especially when you know<\/p>\n

none of it were to last,<\/p>\n

just take a step past<\/p>\n

and relax.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Feel your tension flee<\/p>\n

After that you\u2019ll see<\/p>\n

this season return<\/p>\n

After seasons of growth<\/p>\n

but for now,<\/p>\n

Be thankful<\/p>\n
