\n<\/span>and seeps out of the pores in the drywall and the gap between the twists in the carpet.<\/span>
\n<\/span>Remnants of who you were, once tacked up with pride,<\/span>
\n<\/span>hang lopsidedly across the room while\u00a0<\/span>
\n<\/span>abandoned dreams of who you were meant to become\u00a0<\/span>
\n<\/span>remain perfectly crucified against the opposing wall, looming over the top of the bed.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/span>under and over messy piles of now disheveled jeans and shirts and socks,\u00a0<\/span>
\n<\/span>all of which you’ll never wear again.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/span>which once covered in white paint lays barren,\u00a0<\/span>
\n<\/span>brittle wood exposed and weathered away.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/span>filling the air with your dark silhouette.\u00a0<\/span>
\n<\/span>A silhouette that sat on a pedestal of grace and beauty,\u00a0<\/span>
\n<\/span>reduced to a corpse or cadaver or something of the sorts,\u00a0<\/span>
\n<\/span>a stench of death and decay nestling itself into the throw at the foot of my bed.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/span>echoing in the hall outside my door and screaming out through the vent.\u00a0<\/span>
\n<\/span>It whispers sweet nothings as my right ear hits the pillow and cries in agony into my left.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/span>and filling my mouth with the taste of iron.\u00a0<\/span>
\n<\/span>Thoughts of you suppress my appetite, orders of takeout half eaten and pushed aside sit and rot,
\nonly filling to flies and maggots now.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
