I wish I could escape this world<\/span><\/p>\n

Holding your hand tight.<\/span><\/p>\n

You have a spark,<\/span><\/p>\n

That I want to imbibe.<\/span><\/p>\n

You are standing there,<\/span><\/p>\n

Outside my window<\/span><\/p>\n

With a mystic smile,<\/span><\/p>\n

It seems like you are saying:<\/span><\/p>\n

“Come, I’ll help you”.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I try to reach there, but I can’t.<\/span><\/p>\n

My entire body is paralysed,<\/span><\/p>\n

I can’t move.<\/span><\/p>\n

I’m lying in this room<\/span><\/p>\n

As dark as a black hole.<\/span><\/p>\n

I don’t want you to enter this world,<\/span><\/p>\n

I’m trying every moment<\/span><\/p>\n

To break through this chain<\/span><\/p>\n

To reach you.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I want to unfurl my wings like you<\/span><\/p>\n

And fly high in the wide, blue sky<\/span><\/p>\n

But, here, I lie in agony and despair<\/span><\/p>\n

With bruises all over my body.<\/span><\/p>\n

And there you are,<\/span><\/p>\n

With the colours of the rainbow<\/span><\/p>\n

And the brightness of a star<\/span><\/p>\n

Luring me to<\/span><\/p>\n

Break through all the barriers.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

My escape is writing to you,<\/span><\/p>\n

I write to you every day.<\/span><\/p>\n

I send those notes<\/span><\/p>\n

Through the songs of the birds,<\/span><\/p>\n

Through the sound of rain,<\/span><\/p>\n

Through every sigh,<\/span><\/p>\n

Through every teardrop,<\/span><\/p>\n

But you ignore them all.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

As I look at the setting sun,<\/span><\/p>\n

That makes the room darker,<\/span><\/p>\n

You stand there, surrounded by an aura.<\/span><\/p>\n

You look like a glowworm<\/span><\/p>\n

Shining in that darkness.<\/span><\/p>\n

And here, I’m still waiting for the dawn<\/span><\/p>\n

To help me escape,<\/span><\/p>\n
