the tigerlily and the white rose abide in an everlasting june alone, <\/span><\/p>\n

together<\/span><\/p>\n

they rest in the shade of a fern and whisper softly<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

the white rose takes care to hide her thorns <\/span><\/p>\n

she is ethereal, lovely and wholly unique; <\/span><\/p>\n

not <\/span>meant for a bouquet. <\/span><\/p>\n

she is as she is, <\/span>the jewel of the garden, <\/span><\/p>\n

and cannot be cut or dyed,\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

bent or tamed.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

she befriended the lily,<\/span><\/p>\n

striped and wild <\/span><\/p>\n

they have nothing in common <\/span><\/p>\n

and yet everything, as flowers do.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

they are beautiful, strange, and all the more so.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

they talk with each other, and they talk with god <\/span><\/p>\n

longing for a sacred space<\/span><\/p>\n

asking if they worthy of eden<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

they do not realize<\/span><\/p>\n

as they laugh and sing with each other and the stars,<\/span><\/p>\n

their language foreign to shears and storms,<\/span><\/p>\n

how lovely they are<\/span><\/p>\n

how good their company\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

they have created a new eden,<\/span><\/p>\n

fit just for them,<\/span><\/p>\n

all paradise in a backyard garden.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

they are hidden, not lost,<\/span><\/p>\n
