I remember cold dark nights<\/span><\/p>\n

lit with nothing but candlelight<\/span><\/p>\n

my solitude hindered in virtue<\/span><\/p>\n

and nothing to move through,<\/span><\/p>\n

my mind was blank<\/span><\/p>\n

calm waters flowing by the bank<\/span><\/p>\n

and sediment was the predicament<\/span><\/p>\n

as it crept into shoes, unsolicited<\/span><\/p>\n

but the bay water became bothered<\/span><\/p>\n

every sailor still standing hollered<\/span><\/p>\n

and within the sea<\/span><\/p>\n

respite became the entity<\/span><\/p>\n

every being envied<\/span><\/p>\n

as we sat so still, empty<\/span><\/p>\n

from the way the world turned<\/span><\/p>\n

watching it burn<\/span><\/p>\n

and nothing was quite as beautiful<\/span><\/p>\n

drunk moonlight watching excusable<\/span><\/p>\n

our attitudes unbearable<\/span><\/p>\n

holding onto pain intolerable<\/span><\/p>\n

but watching the fire<\/span><\/p>\n

our thoughts turned dire<\/span><\/p>\n

held up on the wire dipped<\/span><\/p>\n

from birds which whipped<\/span><\/p>\n

with wind <\/span><\/p>\n

knocking into sin<\/span><\/p>\n

burning bright orange red<\/span><\/p>\n

reflecting off that water, dead<\/span><\/p>\n

waves seeming unbothered<\/span><\/p>\n

by the sailors which squandered<\/span><\/p>\n

so thoughtfully for their last breath<\/span><\/p>\n

but in death, we lay unkempt<\/span><\/p>\n

every attempt at breathing unfeasible<\/span><\/p>\n

so we stay alive, unbelievable<\/span><\/p>\n

how the tide could tire our minds<\/span><\/p>\n

and I sit, still watching the world divine<\/span><\/p>\n

and divided by those unrequited<\/span><\/p>\n

thoughts tossed to the loss spited<\/span><\/p>\n

by sea where it lays in envy<\/span><\/p>\n

of every thought of mine that\u2019s empty<\/span><\/p>\n

we\u2019re at a stand still<\/span><\/p>\n

it wants my soul to kill<\/span><\/p>\n

but with that luxurious death<\/span><\/p>\n

comes the shuddering depth<\/span><\/p>\n

that in a blink, on the brink<\/span><\/p>\n

of being swallowed by the sea I sink<\/span><\/p>\n

into the embers, imperative<\/span><\/p>\n
