bug zapper
Hailey Berk
string me up out back
where the crabgrass shudders
and bugs flow in rivers
to my cobalt beacon
no skin sits
atop my cheese wire frame
only currents juddering
an arrhythmic hymn
a bloodsucker never knew
my song of seize
but oh, pretty moth, follow
my lantern lit
through chittering night
offer wing to tithe
but find my heart
inhospitable to soft body
