David Kamara<\/span><\/p>\n

I fall asleep when I wake you, you the same<\/span><\/p>\n

So we never share a line together<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s always, \u201cWake up!\u201d, and the lights on,<\/span><\/p>\n

With the music turned off so one may hear the other<\/span><\/p>\n

And ends with a yawn\u2014I guess that we share\u2014<\/span><\/p>\n

But one of us thuds the floor and the other gently steps<\/span><\/p>\n

They\u2019ve got a whole day they must prepare<\/span><\/p>\n

The other? It doesn\u2019t matter<\/span><\/p>\n

Swing rice bags and slosh pans of water,<\/span><\/p>\n

You will not wake them with any tool<\/span><\/p>\n

If they had a dentist appointment or a debt owed<\/span><\/p>\n

They\u2019ll miss both, but I suppose still lose a tooth<\/span><\/p>\n

So it\u2019s not all bad<\/span><\/p>\n

But I get sad because I do not know you<\/span><\/p>\n

Other than a sleeping charmer<\/span><\/p>\n

A dozing blue<\/span><\/p>\n

Who could you be outside your cozies?<\/span><\/p>\n

A preacher<\/span><\/p>\n

A farmer<\/span><\/p>\n

A decorated officer turned deplorable puke?<\/span><\/p>\n

Is it better I never know? Stick to my fables galore?<\/span><\/p>\n

Oh, you just snored<\/span><\/p>\n

In the most cutely gross way possible<\/span><\/p>\n

Oh, there you snore again<\/span><\/p>\n

And great, I\u2019m getting sick of it already<\/span><\/p>\n

But I don\u2019t want to leave or head into a dream<\/span><\/p>\n
