Sam Hedrian<\/span><\/p>\n

It takes a lifetime to forget two months<\/span><\/p>\n

That recontextualized every past and future smile<\/span><\/p>\n

Thanks to the staying power<\/span><\/p>\n

Of a momentarily shared illusion.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

To love once is a miracle,<\/span><\/p>\n

To love twice is a lie<\/span><\/p>\n

Or at least so I thought<\/span><\/p>\n

When I looked for your replacement.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Couldn\u2019t escape the back seat of that Uber<\/span><\/p>\n

Where you buried your head in my shoulder<\/span><\/p>\n

And sang along to the radio<\/span><\/p>\n

While I thanked God for seemingly answered prayers.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

If it wasn\u2019t true then<\/span><\/p>\n

It couldn\u2019t be true again;<\/span><\/p>\n

Romance is a dance<\/span><\/p>\n

At a STEM school of left-footed math nerds.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Or there\u2019s Option B:<\/span><\/p>\n

I liked you and you liked me<\/span><\/p>\n

And being fond of exaggeration,<\/span><\/p>\n

We decided to call it love.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Which means there\u2019s hope we\u2019re both still free<\/span><\/p>\n

To repeat a whispered \u201cFinally\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

In the back seat of an Uber<\/span><\/p>\n

With a miracle lying beside us.<\/span><\/p>\n
