The word hooks through my tongue and gets caught on the back of my gums<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s the hand that reaches out<\/span><\/p>\n

And slides me the loaded gun<\/span><\/p>\n

Ironic that change is always the same<\/span><\/p>\n

Red pill or the blue<\/span><\/p>\n

Swallow it down and stuff my feet into my deteriorating shoes<\/span><\/p>\n

But I beg for it, I crave for it<\/span><\/p>\n

Just never in the real way<\/span><\/p>\n

Because I wake up in my messy room happy everything has stayed the same<\/span><\/p>\n

I haven\u2019t packed my bags and moved on with my life<\/span><\/p>\n

I get stuck at the door, uncomfortable that I can\u2019t control the lights<\/span><\/p>\n

Unpack all my clothes, jump out of my shoes<\/span><\/p>\n

Hide under the covers because the same old change means something new<\/span><\/p>\n

The blood spills out between my lips as I choke the word down<\/span><\/p>\n
