Come on in<\/span><\/p>\n

Don\u2019t mind that you can\u2019t see the floor<\/span><\/p>\n

I let nothing go so it all ends up blocking the door<\/span><\/p>\n

Just push a little harder<\/span><\/p>\n

And the door will have some give<\/span><\/p>\n

Come sit on the bed, don\u2019t mind the shape the frame is in<\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019ve been waiting for you<\/span><\/p>\n

And I hope you don\u2019t mind the mess, so you\u2019ll stay<\/span><\/p>\n

I hope you see me with my garbage bags trying to throw it all away<\/span><\/p>\n

Even if I start to cry<\/span><\/p>\n

Even if the memories drain my spark<\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019ll undrape the windows, so the room doesn\u2019t seem so dark<\/span><\/p>\n

I hope you can handle the dust<\/span><\/p>\n

There hasn\u2019t been fresh air in here in years<\/span><\/p>\n

There are some old poems on the table and the hum of an old fan fills your ears<\/span><\/p>\n

Don\u2019t open the closet<\/span><\/p>\n

There are people in there I\u2019d rather not see<\/span><\/p>\n

Because I don\u2019t know how to kill them before they try killing me<\/span><\/p>\n

Please don\u2019t look at me like that<\/span><\/p>\n

Like I\u2019m helpless and you sympathize<\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019m trying my best to clean it all, but I never learned how to minimize<\/span><\/p>\n

Just promise me you\u2019ll stay in one place<\/span><\/p>\n

Don\u2019t go rummaging through drawers<\/span><\/p>\n

Throwing down all the things I just picked up off the floor<\/span><\/p>\n

I just need someone here<\/span><\/p>\n

Someone to see all the things I find<\/span><\/p>\n

Someone who will be proud of how much clearer it is in time<\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019m not expecting you to help<\/span><\/p>\n

I just need a friendly face<\/span><\/p>\n
