They aren’t ugly,
These lines that shoot from either eye.
They aren’t simply a sign of old age,
But a symbol of life.
They’re a story of joy,
Of pain and struggle,
Of admiration and disgust.
They are an abstract painting of emotion,
Built up over a lifetime.
They shouldn’t be removed,
They shouldn’t be powered,
And they shouldn’t be hued,
Because that leaves the story untold,
And a story untold serves no purpose,
No purpose at all.
