I don’t think of myself as a confident person
I’ve cowered, and I’ve said things I may not think are true
I live in the corner of any room, and my head is as low as the floor
No amount of love would heal me, I thought
Yet I met a girl with dark hair, and a heart of light brighter than any sun
Her voice could bring peace to any conflict, calm within any storm
And her touch could heal any broken bone or heart that she met
My head lifted from the floor, just to see her
And I wished I had done it sooner, just in case she came into my life sooner
But I was grateful to have seen her, sooner or later
I would devote my life to rush to her
I would set my heart on fire to hear her speak, or feel her touch
I would run a thousand miles to see her smile
I would live for eternity and watch everything pass before me just for the honor of meeting her.
I’ll rush to her in any lifetime.
