How many moments, do you think, does it take to forget
Two or three, maybe more, for something small
And probably more for something bigger
Maybe it’s different for everyone
The things we did together, no matter how short or long, were well spent.
The laughter I heard echo from her heart, her soul
Sounded better than anything I had heard in the last 21 years
I need to dive into those moments again
Now, it’s probably been a good amount of time to think
Maybe a good amount of time to heal
I think she’s ok right now
And I’m probably ok right now, too
But when I hear the noise my radio made, the one that scared her
I need to break it, just because it did.
And when I moved my car across a parking lot,
Just for her to take a picture,
I’d give everything to see the smile while she took it
Maybe she is ok right now,
But I need to dive into those moments again, and again,
And again.
