Through the refraction of dew in moonlight,
evening scatters in Macedonia.
My thoughts that remain are dyed a hybrid of citrus.
Absolute clarity is surreal;
glass stretched above flaming water,
a raindrop’s nucleus, the dawn of baby’s breath.
A penance, an undeserved penance,
makes profound confusion a colossal gymnasium
of unreflecting granite and corrugated forest.
I’ve been dim through the apocalypse my entire life;
pharmaceuticals, the convection of thought and appetite,
the theater of the mindless wretchedly wading in.
