Black Hole

Elizabeth Brei

Supernova, take out the galaxy –
A fuzzy haze – a nothing left –
Lucky ones still see stars.
Others see you –

A neglect – an absence of color
In the center.
Swallow light waves.
Stars pass into you;
They do not return.

Suffocate on this cold,
wake up wearing black in your eyes;
Stars sprinkle their dust over you,
Burn out trying to give you light.
