terracotta limbs

Daniel Scott

i go to travel,

to reel and unravel my ribbons, my innards,
my gilings and gizzards,
stencils etched in hymen
flesh, kindling bones in torn duress,

make it known that i've been taken,
had to learn from snakes i'm fully naked,

there i caught a glimpse of ultra bright and headstone teeth of solid white,
my beads and my bones in a rosary spread,
a quasar swings low for each cinnabar bend and helps me bite you through the guava & glue,

but i would flake my spider petals for that chance
to be abroad,
with yourself and other staples on the island of our Lord.
