Aritst Statement:
I’m not a poet. “A Different Land” and “Little Bear” are both random experiments in sound, shape, and image. Once I became comfortable in the form, each poem expanded into its own story. The poems were written at different times, therefore the similar subjects (a “little bear” in one and a “little lamb” in the other) are unintentional. Also, the mother referenced in “Little Bear” is not Sarah Palin
