Tomorrow, at noon
the sky-fire will coalesce above us,
wind-screams stifled in all directions,
gasping like a cetacean in sand.
Let me ride your fluke of light back into the sea.
We’ll explore who you are, all that you’ve given.
It’s vital that we search the blackest ocean together.
Someday, we’ll find a record of the sun’s birth
where no one else thought to look.
